The drive between Rome and the southern coast takes approximately 3.5 to 4 hours each way. Comfort stops with restroom access and opportunities to stretch are built into the transit time to ensure a pleasant drive.
No. Positano is experienced from dedicated panoramic viewpoints along the cliffside road to capture pictures of the famous cascade of pastel houses without getting stuck in heavy traffic inside the narrow lower town. Dedicated free time to walk around, shop, and explore is provided in Amalfi and Ravello.
